If you are experiencing slow flow of air releasing from the deflator it means that the valve core is not fully removed. 99% of the time the issue is due to not fully engaging the valve core when twisting it out of the tire valve stem (counter clockwise) OR just simply not twisting it out enough.
Please pay attention to follow these steps for using the deflator:
#1 - twist the deflator nozzle onto the valve stem (clockwise)
#2 - press the brass rod handle (end knob) straight in until it comes to a natural stop
#3 - while applying a little bit of force inwards (towards the tire) gently turn the rod handle knob clockwise until you can feel it engage the valve core. To check the valve core is engaged, simply toggle the end knob right and left gently to see if there is a limited range of motion. If so, this means you have engaged the valve core.
#4 - now this is where you really have to practice - when twisting the valve core out (counterclockwise) there are two important factors to getting it fully out for max air flow. Number one, make sure you are gently applying some force/pressure inwards (towards the tire) the entire time you are twisting it out (away from tire). This will make sure you keep the valve core fully engaged the entire process. Next, it is vital that you twist it out at least 12-15 full 360 degree turns. This will be enough to make sure you really have the valve core 100% out.
#5 - lift the slide valve and check that you have hard and fast air flow #6 - deflate your tires as needed #7 - push rod handle back in straight until it stops #8 - twist the valve core back in (clockwise)
Please follow those steps closely. Also it is a great idea to check out our step-by-step tutorial video for this deflator (it is the second video on the product page on our website). Please let us know how this works for you!
